Several years ago our family decided to abandon all things "traditional" about Thanksgiving, and make it a day on which we all got to eat our favorite foods.

We each made a list of the things we most liked to eat and I made them all. The menu was a hodgepodge of all variety of dishes and looked nothing like a traditional Thanksgiving table. But we enjoyed the meal so much that a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal became our new holiday tradition.

This year's Thanksgiving promises to be the most unique holiday meal yet.

My husband and I moved into a 5th wheel RV in 2020 to become full-time travelers. Several of our siblings also have RVs and last year, while they were camped next to us, the idea came up of having an outdoor camping Thanksgiving.

So, this year's Thanksgiving will include a row of RVs, outdoor tables, and campfires. The family members who don't have campers reserved tiny houses from a tiny house park just down the road from our Colorado campground.

We're pulling out smokers and Blackstone griddles, making the most of our tiny RV kitchens, and hoping for good weather so all 26 of us (or more!) aren't crammed inside one of the RVS. 😊

Regardless of what your Thanksgiving looks like this year, if you're thinking about a non-traditional menu, you're sure to find some gems in this list of 75 recipes.

Happy Holidays!
